Saturday October 3, 2015

Trail Days (2-4 per year) typically start at 8:30am and end at 12:30pm with the traditional BBQ lunch supplied and prepared by King Street Cycles. If you intend to come please sign up (link) so we know how many people to expect and plan the amount of work and food to be accordingly.

Be part of trail growth and maintenance at The Hydrocut by coming out with the WCC Trails Committee to our October 3rd Trail Day

The Goal
The goal of the day will be to expand the twister trail; yes there is still land there for expansion!

What to bring
Heavy duty work boots or shoes are the preferred choice for your feet.
Long pants offer more protection for your legs from cuts, scraps, insect bites and sunburn. Long-sleeved shirts are best for the same reasons.
Volunteers are advised to bring clothing suited to the weather of the day.
Work gloves are a must to protect your hands.
Drinking water
Lip moisturiser, sunscreen, sunglasses and insect repellent should be carried by each individual volunteer based your own personal needs.
A snack is suggested for keeping up your energy until the BBQ lunch at the end of the trail day.
The Waterloo Cycling Club does own some professional trail building tools however we won’t have enough for each worker so please bring shovels, garden rakes and small axes. Putting your name on your tools will be helpful to distinguish your tools when it is time head home.
Hope to see you at 8:30 am, Oct. 3rd at The Hydrocut – Synders Entrance.
