Rides are done for 2015. See you in 2016!
The Monday Novice-Intermediate Mountain Bike Ride is an ideal way to meet new riders, learn The Hydrocut trail system and go for a spin with friends while practising the basics of singletrack mountain biking. This ride is intended for novice to intermediate riders or any riders who would rather take a more relaxed pace than the Wednesday Evening Ride. This ride can be used to develop fitness and skills to progress into the more advanced King Street Cycles/WCC mountain bike ride on Wednesday evenings. You must have a mountain bike in good working condition and a helmet to attend this ride. If you are unsure, please bring your bike by one of our sponsor’s stores and ask them about riding it on the WCC Trails. Anyone participating in this ride must be a member of our club. The cost of a Waterloo Cycling Club adult membership is $69. If you are not sure whether this ride is appropriate, you may participate once at no cost under the OCA try a club program. Please show up a bit early to fill in the paperwork. There is no additional cost to participate in this ride. We may break into two groups depending on the skills of participants. The goal of this ride is to provide a fun and challenging ride for everyone.
WHERE? Meet at the main parking lot of The Hydrocut (Glasgow street behind Walmart). Look for our group in the middle of the parking lot nearest the trail entrance.
WHEN? Ride starts every Monday promptly at 6:30pm
Trails are closed when muddy, please check the website Trail Status on our main page or Twitter @WCCTrails. Check the on-line forum at thehydrocut.ca
for ride information and updates leading up to the ride each week. Look for the Novice/Intermediate MTB topic.
