UPDATE: 2015 ride is Saturday August 22!

Meet at the WCC Trails Main Parking Lot (Glasgow parking lot)

Mark Aug 22 on your calendars for the annual KW Epic Tour mountain bike ride.

For anyone not familiar with the Epic Tour, this tour takes riders on a big loop around KW, hitting some of the lesser known gems in KW. The ride starts and ends at the Glasgow parking lot at The Hydrocut and is capped off with refreshments at the end of the ride, compliments of our friends at King Street Cycles. The tour generally adds up to 70-80 km total distance, and energetic riders can then get to the century mark by hitting the Hydrocut at the end. Some of the trails we will ride include Mt Trashmore, the HNA, Steckle Woods, Homer Watson, Chicopee and the Grand River trail. Most of the connecting riding is on community trail, but there is some limited road exposure as well.

The KW Epic Tour is not a race – the pace is at an intermediate level, and we make several rest and refuel stops along the way, however riders should count on a good six hours in the saddle.
Start time is typically 9am, but that will be confirmed closer to the date. Participants should be prepared to be self-sufficient ( food, water, bike repairs).

Note: this is NOT an official WCC ride.  You do not need to be a WCC member to join this ride.
