CTV has an article titled:
“Bicycle crash hampers commute in downtown Kitchener”

Give -your- head a shake: Warren Letson, CTV Kitchener

A day later CBC provides a title that more accurately describes the circumstances:
“Kitchener cyclist hit by car from behind, rushed to hospital”
The cyclist was the innocent victim of being hit by a careless motorist…
…but then (Brian St. Denis or someone on his behalf at CBC) gets sloppy with their journalism with a poorly chosen URL for that could imply blame on the victim for her injuries:
Read the article and it is clear that being hit hard enough by a car to be thrown across an intersection will result in a visit to the hospital. Helmet, or no helmet!

Wishing a full and speedy recovery to an un-named 25-year-old Kitchener woman!
I witnessed this awful accident that was completely the driver’s fault. I agree that it is shameful that the news has narrowed in on a helmet as an important part of this story.
The Record, CTV and CBC could all learn something from this article: http://www.bicycling.com/culture/advocacy/five-cyclist-blaming-headlines-and-how-reframe-them
