If you can’t show up tomorrow, please take the time to write a short personalized email to Waterloo City Councillors regarding abolishing the “no two abreast” bylaw so our traffic laws in the Region align with the HTA, which maximizes safety for all road users. Tritag has made it quite easy: http://contact.tritag.ca/sidebyside/ Seriously, every little email counts and you don’t have to write a novel. Be a part of positive change.

Only thing missing from that tritag form is a preview of your message. Mine went with lots of “Dear X, Dear Councillor, …. , Thank you. Thank you for your time”, because my message already addressed and thanked…

Apart from that it works great!

edit: BTW, looks like you have to register to attend the session, so don’t forget that (I didn’t check properly as I can’t make it).

No need to register to attend, only to speak.

    “Good Afternoon,

All Regional Council meetings are open to the public. You do not need to do anything in order to observe a meeting. If you would like to address Regional Council on an issue then you do need to register with us. Please let me know if you would like to register to speak.

Thanks Alain and any others that are planning on attending/speaking tonight. I can’t make it, but I wrote a (fairly long) e-mail…this vote is important.

Great show of support at the meeting tonight. Bike racks were full!
Excellent presentations by Peter Dedes, Mike Boos, and Alain.

Alain, very professional and persuasive arguments tonight! You would have to be a bone head (Councillor Strickland, Shantz, Nowak) to not see the light of day on this issue. May I add, the side-by-side cycling bylaw came into effect when you could still smoke on airplanes!

Well done all and apologize for not being able to attend. Is there any chance of seeing a post of the speech or min of the meeting. Would enjoy reading about the pros and cons put forth and all the pursuasive arguments. Much appreciated for all that advocating on our behalf.

    Mat
