Where: Columbia Lake, Waterloo
When: Saturdays, 9:00 AM – Starting Sep 3, 2016
We’re adding another day of Cyclocross skill and drills practice. Saturday mornings at Columbia Lake, in Waterloo. Any club members are welcome to come out, and learn the arts of barrier hopping, run ups, handups, and lots of cornering. If you don’t have a CX bike, bring your mountain bike, or squeeze the fattest, knobbiest tires you can on your road bike.
The grassy fields and trees of the park give us plenty of space. Each week we’ll be using wood stakes and tape to set up a mini course. We’ll have 180 turns, zig-zags, off-cambers,and of course, barriers for mounting and dismounting practice.
If you’re driving, the gravel lot at the end of Frank Tompa drive is recommended. From there, look for us in the park. We’ll be moving around for variety, and to minimize our impact on the parkland.
