Notice of 2018 Annual General Meeting

Sunday, January 14 at 7:30 pm at the Waterloo Recreation Centre marks the date of our Annual General Meeting.  Please see the agenda below – we need your vote on important key interests of the Waterloo Cycling Club.

New this year we will also be hosting a mini social before the formal part of the AGM, from 7:00 pm to 7:30 pm. This will give you a chance to catch up with your cycling friends and enjoy some snacks before the meeting gets underway.

TAKE NOTICE that a meeting of Members of WATERLOO CYCLING CLUB (the “Corporation”) will be held at the Waterloo Recreation Centre, located at 101 Father David Bauer Drive, Waterloo, Ontario, on Sunday the 14th day of January, 2018, at 7:30 p.m. in room 200 to complete the following agenda:

  1. To approve the minutes of the 2017 Annual General Meeting.
  2. To receive the Financial Report of the Treasurer of the Corporation in respect of the fiscal period of the Corporation ending October 31, 2017
  3. To receive the report from the president on the year in review.
  4. To receive the report from the trails committee on the year in review.
  5. To elect members of the Board of Directors. All existing terms have completed.  The following members are standing for election to a 2 year term as Directors:
  • Brent Doberstein
  • Bill Frier
  • Dawn Frier
  • Kevin Gibson
  • Kari Hueber
  • Mike Lynch
  • Jason Pollard
  • Ken Ruckstuhl
  • Philip Sheffield
  • Sylvia Tatarek
  • David Trueman

In the alternative, nominations for other candidates may be submitted by any member in writing to the President of the Club in accordance with the Club By-Laws on or before 7:30 p.m. on January 9th.

    It originally indicated that board members were going into the second year of their terms. It has been corrected to reflect that all posted members are standing for new two year terms.
