Women’s Social Ride – June 24

Women’s Social Ride on June 24th, 2017

Meet @ 9:00am RIM Park Parking Lot
(far back corner of the parking lot where the two sections of Millennium Blvd meet)

Joining a group ride is a great way to meet like-minded women – you’ll learn more about the local routes, pick up some mechanical tips along the way, and probably make some new friends. All skill levels are welcome!

There will be two groups rides offered – a road group for women who have a road bike (average riding speed 25km/hr) and a gravel group for women who have a gravel or hybrid bike (average riding speed 20km/hr) Both group rides will be about 2 hours long with a stop at a bakery for some treats and refreshments. This is a “Try-Out Ride” event and you don’t have to be a Waterloo Cycling Club member to participate.

We’ll have Ziggy’s Cycle representative & mechanic for on-hand training and answering questions & Cycling Swag Giveaway!

We hope to see you there!

We have two awesome routes planned; one for the road group and one for the gravel group. Both groups will do their best to keep a comfortable pace for everyone.

If you’d like to take a sneak peak, here are the links to both routes (routes may be modified by the ride leader if necessary):

Our post ride snack/lunch stop will be at Rumbletum Cafe. I met with the owners and they are happy to have us. They have a variety of baked goods, lunch menu items, coffee + tea, and ice cream. They take either cash, debit or credit. They have a lovely patio out back and a cozy sitting area indoors.

I’m really looking forward to meeting new cyclists in the community this Saturday!

    See you then,
