As of May 31st:

We have 3 out of 20 spots filled for our Spring Adopt-a-Road.  YOUR HELP is needed for the club to maintain our commitment to keep Hessen Strasse clean.  The commitment is only 2 hours…either from 10am to noon or noon to 2pm.  See you out there!

Through the volunteer contributions of the “WCC Community” the Waterloo Cycling Club has officially adopted Hessen Strasse from Kressler Rd to Moser Young! This is now our third year of doing roadside clean ups – one in the Spring and one in the Fall.

Adopt-a-Road signs were put in place late Spring 2016 and are a definite source of pride for the club every time we ride on Hessen Strasse.

Our Spring 2017 Adopt-a-Road is just around the corner and we’re looking for volunteers to help continue this tradition for the Waterloo Cycling Club! We will supply the collection bags, and will have bottled water and food available (including vegetarian options) so all you need to do is bring your work gloves, sturdy boots and clothing which is appropriate for the weather forecast that day. More details will be emailed to you once you sign up for your volunteer shift. (NOTE: if you’re riding out to the event we will always have people available at the WCC tent to watch your bike…bring a small cable lock if you like).

Date: Saturday June 3rd, starting at 10am

Volunteer Details: Two shifts, two hours each shift, 10 volunteers per shift.

We’re using SignUp.co to organize our volunteer opportunities.

Here’s how it works in 3 easy steps:
