Ryan Aitcheson Joining “The Big Ride” and Raffling a Signed Jersey

The Waterloo Cycling Club is proud to announce that Ryan Aitcheson will be joining us for the The Big Ride on Sept 10th!

As many of you know Ryan is a professional racer from Waterloo that in his junior days rode with the Waterloo Cycling Club.  Ryan rides with the Astellas Professional Cycling Team and is on his way to winning the 2016 US Crit Series.

On August 13th, Malcolm Steven, Blake Ellis, Corrie Bradley, Mark Fuller and Jason Pollard had the pleasure of spending some time with Ryan and then watch him animate the 2016 Rochester Twilight Criterium.  Ryan came in second by a wheels length, but it was his leadership of a chase through the middle of the race that made watching in Rochester truly special.

Ryan is racing at Yale on Sept 16th and then Boston on Sept 17th, so the full distance does not fit his training plan, but Ryan will meet us in Bayfield for lunch and then ride among our different groups on the way back to Waterloo.

While we’re having lunch in Bayfield Ryan will be raffling a signed jersey to a lucky ride participant.

Don’t miss this great opportunity to talk and ride with Ryan.  There is no better way to hear about professional cycling than from a winning pro!
